Sporting Event: Pumas v. Monterrey General. Both these futbol teams are in the Partido de Fútbol de Primera División. The game is at 5 pm and tickets are $165 US dollars. The game takes place at
Olympic Stadium in Ciudad Universitaria which is located in the southern portion of Mexico City. Olympic Stadium was built in 1952 in order for Mexico City to host the 1968 Summer Olympic Games. It is currently the home of the Pumas, a major league futbol team.
Monument: We will be taking a walking tour through Mexico's City town square otherwise known as the Zocalo. The Zocalo is a very popular tourist attraction and is home to many famous sites. The tour should take about half day and we will be walking the entire time. We will begin the tour at the main square which was built on top of the Aztec capital, Tenochititlan and it contains many souviner shops and cafe's. Next, we will see the National Palace otherwise known as the Mexico Government building. Afterwards, we will see the Catedral Metropolitana which took over 3 centuries to build. Next, we will visit the Post Office Palace which was built in 1907. Admission is free and it is open Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 5:30 pm. Finally, we visit ,Alameda Park, Mexico City's first and most famous park. The park contains numerous monument's including a monument to Benito Juarez who was Mexico's first full-blooded Indian president. He is considered to be one of Mexico's best leaders. At the park we will be able to relax and take a break from all the traveling.
